2022: The ‘Lightbulb Moment’ year for greener ways of working
If there’s one single message of hope we took from 2022, it’s that every company, sector and industry our team spoke with recognised the value to their business of embracing more environmentally-friendly practices – a pressure that’s increasingly driven by customers and clients.
2022: Putting sustainability at the heart of hygiene
The COP 27 summit certainly helped hammer home how there’s never been a greater need for change. And that GreenTeck Global more than doubled its turnover in the last year shows that people understand how switching to our alternative green technologies is the ultimate win-win.
Whilst it’s encouraging to see sustainability discussions being had at every level, our focus over the last year has been on constructive conversations to continue helping clients and strategic partners get their business where it needs to be. As foot soldiers of change, one of the messages we continue to work hardest to educate people about is how replacing traditional chemicals by 100% natural solutions delivers as many benefits to their business as to the planet.
At a time of rising costs when every business needs to find ways to save money, we’re seeing our clients enjoy the efficiency-improving value of switching to our future-friendly technologies, such as reducing costs by up to 70% as they swap buying-in harmful chemicals for on-site solutions.
What’s more, they continue to reap the benefits with our products regularly taking the majority of other cleaning and hygiene products out of their system, reducing both chemical and plastic use, and creating a safer environment for employees and customers. All without damaging the world around us.
Of course, you can’t double a business without expanding your team. And in 2022 we were delighted to welcome a new fleet of young mavericks and sustainable experts to the GreenTeck Global family, boosting every department from design and operations. These included strengthening our leadership team with the appointment of our first Chief Operating Officer, Jon Graves to support our fast-evolving business and ambitious expansion plans.
2023: An even cleaner and greener approach to business
Mindful of how in-situ systems also help with wider supply chain issues, as well as carbon footprint and climate shadow, GreenTeck Global’s expert team continue to develop our technologies to lead by example and make it even easier for companies to be more self-sufficient moving forwards.
As part of this, we’ve recently announced plans to increase our European manufacturing base by 200%, to ensure 75% of our sustainable products will be made in Europe by the end of 2023, with 60% from the UK itself.
In addition to helping customers improve their carbon footprint, this ongoing commitment to looking at the life cycle of our products will also make it even easier for companies to embrace greener ways of working, with lead times set to be reduced by 75% for many product between order and installation.
What’s more, we are continuing to expand our eco-friendly range and will be unveiling our pioneering new product lines – from waste disposal to sustainable packaging – in the coming months.
It’s important to remember that sustainability is as much about people as the planet. So one of the areas I’m most excited about within this is the potential benefits our new drinking water disinfection unit could deliver this year. Designed for quick deployment during humanitarian crises anywhere in the world, our simple-to-use technology can be operational within an hour of receipt.
The potential for this, and our other eco-friendly technologies, to deliver meaningful change is huge. And all of us at GreenTeck Global have never been more determined to create a safer world where everybody benefits.
